Nathan was born in 1668 in Veitch's Cove, Calvert Co., Maryland.  Nathan's father was James Veitch and his mother was Mary Gakerlin.  He had four brothers named Thomas, James, John and William.  He was the fourth oldest of the five children.  He died at the age of 78 on July 15th, 1746 in Prince George's, Maryland.
